It all started with cars
My first spoken word was "aku", which apparently meant cat. The second one was "Golf", referring to every car. I turned out to be a dog person, but I am still deeply infatuated with cars and motorsports. That love got me into the world of brands, expanding well beyond automotive.
Global outlook, local understanding
I was born and raised in Germany, but always loved the unknown. I got into Japanese cars, Asian culture and media, and studied Asian Studies, in Bonn and Tokyo. I started my career in global marketing based out of Japan and have been working and living across cultures ever since.
I feel home in Germany, my family's current home base, Japan and Canada, my wife's home country.
In the trade of brands
Having worked cross Europe, Asia and North America, I am still excited about brands, and what they could achieve once they are given proper attention.
